He is survived by: his brothers, Michael Steele and John Steel of Lagro; and his stepchildren, Tammy Hoffman (Bill) of Peru, Linda Spillman (Roger) of Peru, Walter Orpurt (Shannon) of Kokomo and Errol Orpurt (Hollie) of Peru, Indiana. He is also survived by 13 step-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren.
