She was predeceased by: her father Howard K. Overton; and her son Jesse Lee Day. She is survived by: her mother Esther Lavina Overton (Willis); her husband George M. DeShon; her brothers, William and Howard Overton; her children, Dwayne E. Day Sr., Angela Alexander (Brad) and Lisa Martin (Dale); her stepchildren, Russell DeShon (Carla) and Kim DeShon; and her close friend Carol Campbell.
