It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Elizabeth Schaaf of Kokomo, Indiana, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Aaron and Lenore Elizabeth Winger (Harter); and her brothers, Donald Winger and Loren Winger. She is survived by: her husband Richard Eugene Schaaf; her children, Max Schaaf (Becky), Mark Schaaf (Danielle), Mike Schaaf (Diana) and Marla Chapple (Gary); her sister Leah Joyce Hubbard; her grandchildren, Alan Chapple (Kimberly), Brian Chapple, Jordan Chapple (Amanda), Anna Reynolds (Drew), Adam Schaaf (Sarah), Aaron Schaaf, Andrew Schaaf (Hannah), Alex Schaaf (Kristen), Catherine Schaaf, Raymond Schaaf (Erin), David Schaaf and Katie Schaaf; and her great grandchildren, Caleb, Levi, Sarah, Ezra, Grace Chapple, Hudson, Miles Chapple, Lucy Schaaf, Oliver, Adaline Schaaf, Kate Schaaf and Gemma Schaaf.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's memory to Converse Church of Christ to either the Samaritan Room fund or the Scholarship Fund.
