She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Loren and Thelma Idella Brake (McCarter); her son Matthew Brake; and her sisters, Ethel Mae Humbles and Betty Brake.

She is survived by: her husband William Spiece; her son Mark Vickers; her daughter-in-law Jerrina Brake; her sister Melveta Shutt of Kokomo, IN; her grandchild Loren Brake of Wolcott, IN; her great grandchild Patrick Brake; her nieces and nephews, Jorinda Tovey, Kenneth Shutt, Michael Shutt and Lorinda Lhotka; and her cousins, Stephanie Denham and Denise Brickler.
