She was predeceased by: her parents, James William and Dorothy Geneva Moss (Likens); and her niece Brittany Ciera Bell. She is survived by: her husband William A. Dowdy; her children, Donald Gene Moss, William Allen Dowdy II, Christina Nicole Kane (Jessie), James David Sherbino, Travis Dewayne Sherbino and Brandon Austin Dowdy; and her siblings, James William Moss II and Donna Bell (Donnie). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 nieces and nephews; and several aunts and uncles.
