He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy A. Porter and Gwendoline Porter-Hendricks (Eckles); his children, Deana Porter and Steve; his grandsons, James Gauvey, Christopher Gauvey and Scott; his stepgranddaughter Mandy Moore; his brothers, Larry Porter and Roy Porter; his half-sister Carly Hillis; and his stepbrother Danny Porter.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Cowgill); his children, Donna Burns and Tony Porter (Velda); his daughter-in-law Debbie; his grandchildren, Vicki Gauvey, Barbara Ann Gray, Jessica McVay, Brittney Yates (Daniel) and Shawn (Nucole); his stepchildren, Michael Bridegroom, Cristina Moore (Jim) and Jennifer Beaver (Brian); his brother Gale Hendricks; and his stepsiblings, Roy Porter and Vickey Roop. He is also survived by Neighbors; several great-grandchildren.
