It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Vandergriff of Kokomo, Indiana, born in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 29, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frank and Beatrice Vandergriff (Hale); his brother Roy Vandergriff; his grandson Robert Vandergriff Jr.; and his great grandchild Chandler Evans.

He is survived by: his spouse Beverly "Becky" Welcher; his children, Robert Vandergriff (Patty), Roy Dwain Vandergriff (Lori) and Linda Vandergriff (Billy Boatright); his grandchildren, Amanda Plake (Gene), Travis Vandergriff (Angie), Jace Vandergriff, Ashley Murphy, Megan Evans (Josh), Melody Brown (Michael), Ashlie Shuck, Joshua Shuck and Jessica Scott (Josh); his stepgrandchildren, Brittany Goodrich, Cody Evans and Karl Cohen; and his brother Don Vandergriff. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and several step great grandchildren.
