It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Carroll Smith of Kokomo, Indiana, born in Drayton Plains, Michigan, who passed away on April 23, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Smith and Blanch Smith (Surles); his brothers, LeRoy, Robert and Paul Smith; his aunt Grace; and his uncle Glen Featherston.
He is survived by: his wife Phebe Smith (Constantinides); his sons, Peter Smith (Karen) and David Smith (Amanda); his grandchildren, Laura Tilly (Luke), Peter Hyde-Smith (Christina), Don Silva (Jodie), Angela Paxton (Michael), Amanda Silva, Shannon Griggs (Drew) and Sara Roseberry (Shawn); and his great grandchildren, Aaron, Greycen, James, Richard, Patrick Tilly, Nina, Conrad, Gianna Hyde-Smith, Amelia Silva, Tess Persinger (Billy), Claire Miller, Drew Organ, Sawyer Griggs, Justice Lovvorn (Shyanna), Addison and Shiloh Roseberry. He is also survived by five great-great-grandchildren.
