He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond "Tubby" and Catherene Trobaugh (Simpson); his brother John Trobaugh; and his cousins, Mary Ann Trobaugh and Charlie Hollingsworth (Martha).

He is survived by: his wife Joanne Darby; his children, Ruth Wolf (Bryan), Guy Trobaugh (Katie), Kari Hunter (Michael) and Reed Stoeckley (Stella Gries); his grandchildren, Alison Titus (Michael), Amy Wolf, Eric Wolf, Nathan Trobaugh, Tommy Trobaugh, Addison Trobaugh, Brayden Scering, Molly Hunter, Elizabeth Hunter, Isabella Stoeckley, Lily Stoeckley and Ashley Gries; his great grandchild Cate Titus; his brother Jim Trobaugh; and the mother of his children Dianne Nichols. He is also survived by one great-grandson on the way; siblings.
