It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Lorraine Karnes (Kokomo, Indiana), who passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ruth may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Thomas and Caroline Thomas (Kolms); her husband Robert William Karnes; her son Danny Karnes; her siblings, Vivian Watson and Gene Thomas; and her pet Penny.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel (3400 S Webster St, Kokomo, IN 46902). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
