She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Carr and Lucille Carr (Cuppy); her spouse Venerino Salvatore "Sam" Astuto; her daughter Tammy Paul; her grandson Nicholas Pugh; her siblings, Edith Sue Peffley, Phillip Carr, Marion Carr and Mary Katherine Iverson (Kay); her siblings-in-law, Gerald VanCleave and Sophia Carr; her nephew Leroy VanClave; and her niece Amanda Douglas.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Strong (Donnie) of Thorntown and Jon Kinslow (Stacy) of Tampa, Florida; her son-in-law Dave Paul of Kokomo; her brother Clifton Carr of Crawfordsville; her grandchildren, David Andrew Paul (Rachel), Joshua Paul (Temitope), Stephanie Frew (Tyler), Benjamin Strong (Jessica) and Katherine Kinslow; her great grandchildren, Austin Pugh, Oliver Paul, Erwin Paul, Ava-Grace Strong, Isla Strong and Evan Strong; and her nieces, Terry, Sandy, Lucy, Connie and Phyllis.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Strawmyer and Drury Mortuary (2400 N Lebanon St, Lebanon, IN 46052). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
