He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Bender and Fred Logan; his grandparents, Tom, Wilda Bender and Janice Randolph; his great-grandparent Coe; his uncles, John Bender and Wayne Coe; his cousins, Leandre Bender and Bruce Johnson; and his great-grandparent Willie Stevenson.
He is survived by: his brother Greg; his pet Bella; his wife Stephanie Bender of Kokomo, IN; his children, Aubrey Bender, Mateja Bender, Steven Bender, Jr. and Ariah Bender; his grandchildren, Miah and Ezekiel; his stepfather Robert Lee Hillman; and his siblings, Gregory Bender of Kokomo, IN, R. J. Hillman of Kokomo, IN, Fred Jr., Daryl, Tasha, Twyla, Tia and Adrian.
