He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Mae Wallace and William Thomas Franklin Sr.; his significant other Judy Franklin; his son Doyle Dowler; and his sister Kathy Hawkins.
He is survived by: his children, Perry L. Shelton (Shannon) of Alabama, Roger K. Franklin (Melanie) of Kokomo and Marletta J. Huddleston (George) of Kokomo; and his siblings, June Irwin of Kokomo, Tom Franklin of Arkansas, Diane Beesley of Kokomo and Elsie Miller (Ted) of Kokomo. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and 3 fur babies.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ellers Mortuary (3400 S Webster St, Kokomo, IN 46902). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
