William E. Bates Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William E. Bates of Kokomo, Indiana, who passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elroy Bates and Betty Jo Bates (Berryman); his grandfather William A.; and his brother-in-law Junior Zimmerman. He is survived by: his children, Anthony Wayne and Sherri Foster of Carthage, IN; his granddaughter Anna Conner of Shelbyville, IN; and his siblings, Carolyn Zimmerman, Pamela Elpers (Tim), Walton and Rev. Donnie Bates (Cheryl) of Greensburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Murray Weaver Funeral Home (401 S California St, Galveston, IN 46932). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Walton Ioof Cemetery.
