He was predeceased by: his sister Patricia Lynn DeLano; his grandparents, Marguerite Ross (William), James DeLano (Evelyn) and Robert Shaffer; his uncles, Robert Shaffer Jr., James DeLano, Manuel Garcia and Frank Hawk; and his aunt Rebecca Chavez.
He is survived by: his parents, William E. Shaffer and Angela R. Shaffer (DeLano); his partner Ashley Wiman; his partner's children, Cashis and Joslin Roland; his grandmother Beatrice Irene Shaffer; his siblings, Jessica Garling (Jason), Penny DeWeese (Jacob) and Jabian Shaffer (Jaelyn); and his nieces and nephews, Destiny Sutherland, Haley Sutherland, Aiden Sutherland, Cody Dunn and Chloe Dunn. He is also survived by 4 great nieces.
