She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Birky and Geneva Birky (Kauffman); her husband John R. Maxwell; her son Andrew Samuel Maxwell; and her brother Marion Birky.
She is survived by: her son Matthew Maxwell (Leslie) of Valparaiso; her daughter-in-law Heather Maxwell of Kouts; and her grandchildren, Abrams, Truman (Bailey), Geneva, Lauren and Samuel. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
