He is survived by: his children, Nancy Wood of LaPorte and Dan Hitz (Sandy) of Michigan City; his grandsons, Christopher Wood (Sabrina) and Curtis Wood; and his great grandchildren, Camille and Hope.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Graceland Cemetery.
