It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pete Lolkema (Kouts, Indiana), who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Pete Lolkema to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Lolkema (Ooms); and his sister Sharon Damron. He is survived by: his children, Bonnie (Garry Newland), Bryan Lolkema (Kerrie) and Brenda Moon (Scott); his grandchildren, Cory Newland (Lindsey), Kevin Newland (Tracy), Katie Goodpaster (Chris), Kallie Lolkema, Kara Koch (Fred) and Kalan Moon (Molly); and his siblings, Dale Lolkema (Jan), Jim Lolkema (Karen), Melvin Lolkema (Gale) and Julie Lolkema. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Home of Bryan and Kerrie Lolkema (1010 Church St, Kouts, IN 46347).
In addition to woodworking, Pete enjoyed hobby farming, particularly growing hay, but his true joy came from cultivating and donating sweet corn, a community favorite.
