With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Jeanne Shaw of La Porte, Indiana, who passed away on October 11, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Smith and Wilma Smith (Shoemaker); and her husband James Shaw. She is survived by: her children, Schalonda Pluta (David) of South Bend and James Shaw (Deb LeRoy) of La Porte, Indiana.; her grandchildren, Gregory Shaw (Madison Rogers), Jaedyn Shaw, Bailey Lyman, Ashton Lyman, Addison Lyman, Whitley Pluta and Waylon Pluta; her siblings, Beth Ann Jimerson of La Porte, Marcia Lerner (Paul) of Niles, Linda Shaver of Bourbonnais, Beverly Pastrick (Dan) of Union Pier and Fred Smith of Three Oaks; Sophia.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home (1117 Indiana Ave, La Porte, IN 46350). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
