He was predeceased by: his parents, Ithmer J. Tackett and Clara M. Tackett (Moore); his girlfriend Shirley "Shirl" Sater; his friends, Harold Rodgers and Bill Richmann; and his siblings, Virgil (Jewel), Lela Chaffin (Arville), James and Ernest Tackett (Shirley).
He is survived by: his former wife Claudia "Jean" Mosley (John Turner); his daughters, Cheryl Baietto (Mike) and Traci McColly (Kerry); his grandsons, Ian (Victoria) and Seth Pearson; his great grandchildren, Rowan and Juniper Pearson; his stepgrandchildren, Michelle Richmond (Josh), Dan Baietto (Kelli), Josh McColly and Justin McColly; his nephews, Ronnie Tackett (Theresa) of Arkansas, Ricky Tackett (Diana) of Missouri and Dennis Chaffin (Margie) of Arkansas; and his siblings-in-law, Vicki Dobkins (Bruce Moisan), Ann Hoyle and Ken Mosley (Ginny).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory (247 W Johnson Rd, La Porte, IN 46350). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory (247 W Johnson Rd, La Porte, IN 46350).
