She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Schmidt and Evelyn Schmidt (Young); her spouse Jesse Ray Hoops, Jr.; and her siblings, Robert Schmidt and Linda Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Ada Hoops and Sean Hoops; her brothers, Raymond Schmidt of St. Cloud, FL and Roger Schmidt (Judith) of Michigan City; and her sister-in-law Janet Schmidt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
