He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Alber and Ethel Alber; his grandmother Mollie Alber; the mother of his children Mary Alber; his sister Marion "Lou" Beale; his brother-in-law John Beale; his in-laws, Richard D. and Mildred Stanton; his cousin Wes Parmeter; and his pet SharkieLiz.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Jakel (David) of Michigan City and Christopher Alber PhD (Gina) of La Porte; his grandchildren, Maverick Blanton (Selim) of Lille, France, Alexa Blanton (Giovanni) of Rome and Chase Alber of La Porte; his great grandchild Eleonora Vassallo of Rome, Italy; his nieces, Pam Mickler (Bill) of Lafayette, Kris Downey (David) of Lafayette and Lisa Beale (Ed) of Indianapolis; and his nephew Tom Beale (Leana) of Somerset. He is also survived by family members and friends.
