He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Roper and Margaret Roper (Gibbons); his wife Linda Skaggs; and his siblings, Beni Marsh, Robert Roper and Boni Suseland.

He is survived by: his daughters, Molly and Shea Roper; his grandchildren, Samantha Montgomery-Sigler (Nick), Cassidy Doeringer (Aidan), Allyson Kieszkowski (Joe) and Miranda Manzuk; and his great grandchildren, Gracie and Christopher Kieszkowski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
