He was predeceased by: his mother Sarah Burden (Hunt); his brother Dale; and his daughter Melissa "Missy" Nash (Burden). He is survived by: his father Russell Burden; his wife Karen Burden (Boklund); his son Matthew Burden (Varvara) of LaPorte; his son-in-law Greg Gropp of LaPorte; and his grandchildren, Cordelia Nash, Isabella Nash, Samuel Burden and Katherine Burden.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home (1117 Indiana Ave, La Porte, IN 46350). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Peter Church (1101 Michigan Ave, La Porte, IN 46350).
