He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dunk and Laura "Ellen" Dunk (Day); his son Jonathan "Slam" Dunk; his sister Jeannine Bowell; and his brother-in-law Harold Resler.
He is survived by: his sister Jan Resler; his daughters, Alison Dunk-Timm, Melissa Nolan (Steve), Kristie Dunk-Jorgensen and Jamie Beckman (Dave); his son-in-law Jason Timm; his grandchildren, Connor Dwyer, Brianna Isaacson, Shannon Lasher, Tighe Jorgensen, Hudson Beckman, Karter, Keegan, Kalvynn and Kade Timm; and his great grandchildren, Ottilie Alsher, Sophia Dwyer and Daniella Dwyer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
