We are sad to announce that on November 23, 2024, at the age of 80, Jessie P. Currin of La Porte, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Jessie departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jessie may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jessie leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Picone and Petrina Picone (Sorgi); her husband George Currin Jr.; and her siblings, Sonny Picone and Maria Galluzzo.

She is survived by: her children, Kelly D. McCrum (William) of La Porte, Scott T. Currin (Andrea) of Coal City and Keith D. Currin (Elizabeth) of Michigan City; and her sister Sandra Picone of Derby. She is also survived by two grandsons; five granddaughters; five great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org. Keep Jessie's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
