Joan Kay Spence Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Kay Spence (La Porte, Indiana), who passed away on April 7, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her parents, Ira "Pete" Weisjohn and Kate Weisjohn (Corish); her husband Ronald Spence; her brother William "Bill" Weisjohn; her stepdaughters, Julie Kos (Steven) of LaPorte and Carrie Spence (Karen) of Carmel, IN; her grandchildren, Steven Kos, Katie Spence and William Spence; her sisters-in-law, Janet Sonnenberg of South Bend, Kathy Haenes of South Bend and Sharon Weisjohn of Ontario, CA; her friends, Joannie, Debra Birkholz, Carla Antos and Michele Belzowski; and her pet Beau. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
