With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John R. Albertson of La Porte, Indiana, who passed away on March 10, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Albertson and Elizabeth "Betty" Albertson (Farrar); and his siblings, Deb Capron, Betty Igou, Sandra O'Kresik, Charles Albertson, Jr., Ronald Albertson, Sr. and Robert Albertson.
He is survived by: his children, Jenelle Handel (Steve) of Crown Point, Casey Albertson (Lisa) of Olathe, KS and Laura Walls (Brian) of Deland, FL; his grandchildren, Bryan David, Camden, Jacob, Sophia, Quentyn, Kennedy and Colton; his mother-in-law Linda L. Lubs of Westville; his siblings, Judy Duensing of La Porte, Marcia Strefling (Wilbert) of Port Charlotte, FL, Roberta Galloway of Indianapolis and Rick Albertson, Sr. of La Porte; his sister-in-law Heather Benson of Westville; and his nephews, Michael and Heath Benson of Westville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
