He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Roderick, Sr. and Mabel Batzel Bingman (Jacob); his brothers, Ner Bingman and Randy Bingman; his grandparents, Arthur, Emma Batzel, Curtis, Hazel Roderick, Merrill and Margaret Bingman; and his aunts and uncles, Margaret Bowman, Irene Archer, Pearl Stueck, Clara Hahn, Marion Kniola, Jane Lane, Beulah Fisher, Ralph, George, Russell, Edward, Richard Batzel, Mel, Jim, Bernie, Rodney and Floyd Roderick.
He is survived by: his sisters, Janice Mitchell and Juli-Ann Bateman (Gary); and his uncle Richard Roderick.
