He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lee and Deloris Jean Brooks (Zollman); and his stepdaughters, Holly Kolasa and Mandy Olse. He is survived by: his sister Linda Kmitta (Phillip); his stepdaughter DeAnna Hopper (Bruce); and his stepgrandchildren, McKenzie Jonas, Sandy Olse, Alecion Olse, Emah Olse, Caleb Kolasa, Alexis Kolasa, Hunter Hopper and Mariska Hopper.
A burial will be held on Friday, June 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Patton Cemetery (1401 Rumely St, La Porte, IN 46350). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 12th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the American Legion Post #83 (228 E Lincolnway, La Porte, IN 46350).
