He is survived by: his son Oscar Alvarez (Carmen) of La Porte; his grandchildren, Jessica Marie Campion of La Porte, Maria Christina Alvarez of La Porte and Oscar Emilio Alvarez of La Porte; his great grandchild Granger; and his siblings, Nicolas Alvarez of East Chicago, Jose Hector Alvarez of Hammond, Consuelo Contreras, Rosario Rodriguez, Maria Alvarez, Ramona Contreras, Rosa Flores and Gloria Alvarez of Pinto. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
