He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas "Gene" Pavey and Marilyn "Mona" Pavey (Schutz); his grandsons, Cohen and Brody Pavey; and his brother Terrence Pavey.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Lasky; his children, Jane King (Elliott) of Zionsville, Indiana, Byron Pavey of La Porte, Michael Pavey Jr. (Michelle) of La Porte, Matthew Pavey of La Porte, Joseph Pavey of La Porte, Kevin Pavey of La Porte, John Pavey of La Porte and Joshua Pavey (Adin Um) of La Porte; and his siblings, Laurie Strojny (Mark), Vickie Partain (John), Paula Heagy (Chris), Robert Pavey (Roxy) and Thomas Pavey (Stacey). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home (1117 Indiana Ave, La Porte, IN 46350). A rosary will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 6:45 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Kanty Catholic Church (7012 N 600 E, Rolling Prairie, IN 46371). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at the St. John Kanty Cemetery (7012 N 600 E, Rolling Prairie, IN 46371).
