It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Martinsen of La Porte, Indiana, who passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ekstrom and Zelma Ekstrom (Hansen); and her husband Kevin Martinsen. She is survived by: her brothers-in-law, Scott Martinsen (Beverly) of La Porte and Greg Martinsen (Carolyn Grisko) of Chicago; her sibling's children, Joseph Martinsen (Jackie) of Carmel, Meghan Jongkind of La Porte, Valerie Seifert (Jason) of La Porte, Benjamin Martinsen (Alex) of La Porte, Tod Martinsen (Jessica) of Arlington Heights and Jason Martinsen (Adrienne) of Arlington Heights, Illinois; her cousins, Mary Beth Averweg and Jane Amber; her sister Nancy Murphy; and her close friend Robert Kumpfer of La Porte.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church of La Porte (307 Kingsbury Ave, La Porte, IN 46350). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
