He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bertsch and Wilma Bertsch (Beer); his sister Beulah "Boo" Stephens; and his brother-in-law James Stephens. He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Sanders of Valparaiso, Kristina "Kris" Bertsch of La Porte and Andrea Bertsch of La Porte; his grandsons, Austin Sanders and Corey Sanders (Morgan) of Valparaiso; and his nephew Tom Stephens (Debbie) of Carmel.
