He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rist and Eleanor Rist (Keen); his wife Marilyn Porterfield; and his sister Sue Novak. He is survived by: his children, Michael Rist of La Porte, Patrick Rist of Austin, TX, Barbara Klink of Michigan City, Peggy Patterson of La Porte and Susan Rist of La Porte; and his sisters, Ellen Wiskemen and Kathy Klingnmeier.
