It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph Hornickel of Laconia, Indiana, who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hornickel and Alice Knear Hornickel; and his wife Helen Lois Wright Hornickel. He is survived by: his children, William Hornickel (Carolyn) of Laconia, IN and Julie Hornickel Hall of Laconia, IN; his sister Betty Correll of New Albany, IN; and his grandchildren, Preston Hall of Clarksville, IN, Emma Hornickel of Winchester, IN and Catherine Hornickel-Lovan (Jerry) of Depauw, IN. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home (318 E Chestnut St, Corydon, IN 47112). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
