With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice M. Brooks Scanlon of Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on May 16, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Hollcraft and Martha Hollcraft (Bridges); her former husband Jim Brooks; her husband Raymond Scanlon; and her daughter Sandy Pierson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carma Emerick (Bill) of West Lafayette, Terri Virgin (Larry) of Lafayette, Pam Cunningham (Neil) of Indianapolis, Angie Gibson (Brett) of Lafayette and Amy Dowell of Lafayette; her son-in-law Mark Pierson of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Christen Dittmer (Russ Pawlowski), Jon Emerick (Tara), Brooke Huber (Derek), Bryan Virgin (Daisha), Ashley Gamble (Craig), Preston Cunningham (Krista), Olivia Cunningham, Myles Cunningham, Morgan Miles-Gibson (Logan), Mason Gibson (Emily), Jessie Dowell (Gerran), Joshua Dowell (Paige), Madyson Dowell and Kiya Berry; and her great grandchildren, Trenton, Jenna, Harper, William, Saylor, Allie, Avery, Blake, Hannah, Reese, Conner, Nora, Bentley, Arloe, Sawyer, Leilan, Berkleigh and Audreigh.
Memorial contributions for Alice may be made to the Humane Society and Crestview Community Church, Lafayette Indiana.
