It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lee Kerr of Lafayette, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Gates and Virginia May Gates (Engelskirchen); her daughter Kelli Jean Horn; and her siblings, Carolyn Kloss, Jim "J. R." Gates and Rick Gates.
She is survived by: her children, Rickey Kerr (Angie), Rustey Kerr (Jill) of Mequon, WI and Rodney Kerr; her siblings, William Gates (Terry) of Louisville, KY and Patty Cassidy (Mike); her grandchildren, Lindsey Johnson, Lane Kerr, Riley Kerr, Taylor Kerr, Ethan Kerr, Lyla Kerr and Hope Kerr; and her great grandchild Bexleigh Cortez. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
