He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Beckner and Ellen Beckner (Stangle); his wife Margaret Fry; his siblings, Virgil Beckner, James Beckner, Edith Beckner and Mabel Broniak; and his daughter-in-law Connie Beckner.
He is survived by: his children, Lucille A. Beckner (Steve Harlan) of Jamestown, Richard L. Beckner of Americus and Homer "Butch" Beckner (Trudy) of Frankfort; his sister Ruby Herrick of Indianapolis; his sister-in-law Olive Beckner of Monticello; his grandchildren, Rebecca Knight (Brian), Jeremiah Beckner, Jason Beckner (Jodi) and Christy Burton; and his great grandchildren, Brianna Beckner, Gabriella Beckner, Lily and Lincoln Burton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lafayette Chapel (914 Columbia St, Lafayette, IN 47901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
