He was predeceased by: his half-brother Leonard Lovejoy; his siblings, James Griswold, Russell Griswold (Pat) and Betty; and his great grandchild Keifer Reagin.

He is survived by: his spouse Sondra Lee Funk; his children, Frieda Ann Phillips (Melvin) of Lafayette, Diana Lynn Venable (James) of Lafayette, Cynthia Jean Keller (Bruce) of Lafayette, Dallas Eugene Griswold Jr (Elaine) of Lafayette and Randy Lee Griswold of Lafayette; his brother John Griswold; and his half-sister Shirley Wooten.

In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute in Dallas's name to, St Jude Children's Hospital, the Parkinson's Foundation, Alzheimer's Association or Good shepherd Baptist Church.
