He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig Cassens and Ethel Cassens; and his brother Robert Cassens of Chicago, Illinois.. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Cassens; his children, Louis Cassens (Ronda) and Laura Smiley; his grandchildren, Jane, Tio and Kate; his children, Rick Parker (Rona) and Denise Caldwell (Frank); his grandchildren, Parker (Jenna), Chloe, Gabby and Josslyn; his daughter Jodi Taylor; his granddaughter Charlotte; his niece Martha Cassens of Chicago, Illinois; his nephew Martin Cassens (Kristen); his great-niece Madelyn of Girdwood, Alaska; and his brothers-in-law, Terry Vinkovich of Sandy Springs and Richard Anderson of Keystone Heights, Florida..
