He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore C. Scherer and Anne Elizabeth Scherer (Becker); and his siblings, Mary Joanne Robb (Ken), Jerry Scherer (Nancy), Rita Ann Haynes, Richard Scherer, Marjorie Rose Winstead, Bernard Eugene Scherer and George Patrick Scherer (Deb).
He is survived by: his sister Carol (Barry Allen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
