She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe M. Sheets and Evelyn B. Sheets (Buck); her husband George F. Hammel; her son George "David" Hammel; her grandson Jason Burke; and her brother Valentine "Brennard" Sheets.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Hammel of Lebanon, Teresa Black of Lebanon and Dinah Brown of Rossville. She is also survived by four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren, one step grandchild, and four step great grandchildren.
