He was predeceased by: his siblings, Kenneth Olson, Jean Halliday, Joyce Rutzen, Willis Olson, Donna Mae Olson and Tornquist.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Boyd; and his children, Lynn Hartwick (Jim) of Lafayette, Richard Olson (Lisa) of Coatesville, Philip Olson (Dawn) of Logansport, Paul Olson (Susan) of Rensselaer and Rodney Olson (Lorri) of Rochester. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Don's honor to Gideon International or a favorite charity.
