He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter T. and Mary R. Porter (Brookes); and his brothers, Thomas Porter of Seattle, WA. and Jack Porter (Gayle). He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth; his children, Jennifer York (Jim) of Crown Point, IN, Vicki Stephens (Jeff) of Olathe, KS and Jerry Porter (Randy Turner) of Chicago, IL.; his grandchildren, Lauren York (Kayleigh), Sydney Stephens, Allison York and Jake Stephens; his sister Janice VanGasse (Randy) of Norway, MI; and his sister-in-law Dixie Porter.
