He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fischer and Dorothy Fischer (Duffy); and his siblings, Fred Fischer, Nancy McCoy and Phyllis Gill.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Long of Flora, Scott Fischer of Lafayette, Renee Gorman of Lafayette, Mandy Zarate of Lafayette and Cory Whitaker of Lafayette; and his siblings, Dottie Findley (Don) of Monticello, Jim Fischer of Florida and Donna Fischer of West Lafayette. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
