He is survived by: his wife Sharon Baumann; his sons, John Messenger (Stacie), Scott Messenger (Pamela), Matthew Messenger (Kathryn), Don Burton (Victoria) of Brookston, IN, Carl Burton of Frankfort, IN, David Burton of Lafayette, IN and Roger Burton (Judy) of Colfax, IN; his siblings, Jeannie Claypoole, Mary and Frank Messenger; and his grandchildren, Brice, Caden, Jett, Rylan, Colin, Alexandria and Carter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
