He was predeceased by: his father Frank Gulum. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Gulum (Allen) of Lafayette; and his cousins, Bill Singleton, Delores Carpenter, Amy Links and Debra Mason.

“Good grief!! I went to call you yesterday since we hadn't spoken since your birthday & your phone was disconnected. Same number you've had for the 33 years I've known you! I got suspicious & looked your name up on Google to see if you had a new phone & all that came up was your obituary. So very sad to read that news, and then I found your mother passed 1 month later. Anyway, pal, I sure will miss all the fun conversations over all these years, and the genuine friendship we had. Rest in peace.”
