He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Mikels and Rosemary Mikels (Haynes); and his sister Karen Clifton. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Mikels of Lafayette; his son Travis Duane Mikels (Jessica Whitus) of Lafayette; his brother Steve Mikels (Sue) of Floyds Knob; and his grandchildren, Wyatt and Kimura.
