It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Stephen Hainje formerly of Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on December 28, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert J. Hainje and Lois Morehouse Hainje; his parents-in-law, Gerald and Vera Burk; and his siblings-in-law, Carrie Burk Maxson, Tom Maxson, Robert Burk and Dennis Burk.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Bradley S. Hainje (Michele Austin), Jack, Grace, Amelia of Marietta, Rodney D. Hainje (Rachel), Cole, Luke and Anna of Battle Ground, Ind.; his siblings, Linda Hainje-Braman of Lafayette, Bruce Hainje (Lynne) of Lafayette and James Hainje (Janis) of Lafayette; his sisters-in-law, Rita Herr (Leonard) of Lafayette and Lois Hopson (Sam) of Lafayette; and his aunt Carol Morehouse Gear of West Lafayette. He is also survived by Fourteen nieces and nephews, as well as several cousins.
